I will be offering a 2nd meeting this month (for all of you who couldn’t or didn’t want to come to the movie “Eclipse” or need to make up for a meeting you have missed in the past). Please remember that you are not allowed to miss more than 2 meetings in order to remain in good standing with the program and visa regulations.

So, please meet me in the little courtyard right next to Starbucks in Davis Square (Somerville) on Sunday, July 25th at 6-7:30pm. Davis Square is easily accessible by train (Red Line). This meeting will be free, “low-key” and a great opportunity for you to meet and connect with other au pairs. You are welcome to bring friends!

According to the Department of State regulations, you have to attend at least 10 out of 12 au pair meetings. Not fulfilling this requirement may result in serious consequences.

If you miss a meeting you have to call or e-mail me in advance to let me know. Please respond by the deadline that I usually provide so that I can plan accordingly.

Since I have to have contact with you at least once a month, you will still need to get in touch with me to let me know how things are going. (This will not count as a meeting, though.)

Although I prefer that you attend my meetings, you may attend another LCCs meeting instead if the timing is more convenient for you. Just please let me know so that I can make a note on the monthly contact report.

Make sure to keep track of the meetings you have attended on your “deposit release form.” I will need to sign the completed form at the end of your year so that you can get your deposit back.

The CEPs (”safety meetings”) are mandatory. If you cannot attend the ones that I offer, please contact one of the other LCCs.

I try to make the meetings interesting, fun and exciting. They are a great way to connect with other au pairs, make new friends, ask questions and share experiences. Please try your best to attend them all. We miss you if you are not there!
